Cost-Effective Opportunities for Developers

The Southeast Nebraska Land Bank is the state's first non-metro/regional land bank and owns several properties ready for redevelopment. These properties present unique opportunities for developers to take an active role in community revitalization for a fraction of private-market acquisition costs. By purchasing and developing these properties, you can be at the forefront of transforming our neighborhoods, making them a vibrant and thriving place to call home for future residents.

What is a Land Bank?

A land bank is a public organization with special powers to revitalize vacant, abandoned, and deteriorated properties. The land bank temporarily manages these properties, often called "blighted," until it can sell them to responsible new owners or developers. Contact Us

New Legislation and Community Commitment

In August 2020, the Nebraska Legislature passed new laws allowing smaller communities to form regional land banks and rehabilitate neighborhood eyesores. In support of this initiative, the City of Falls City pledged $25,000 from its housing demolition fund and Falls City EDGE pledged $25,000 for operational support to aid in this effort. This commitment underscores our dedication to improving our community and ensuring a brighter future for our residents.
